This is the privacy policy for the Iris app and the Iris Project website (irisproject.app). It is written in plain language because plain language is the point.

1. Iris does not collect any personal data.

The Iris app does not ask you for an account, an email, a phone number, a name, or any other identifier. There is no profile to fill in.

2. All processing happens on your iPhone.

Camera frames, microphone audio, speech, and location data used by Iris are processed on the device. They are not uploaded.

3. Iris does not transmit your data.

Iris does not send your data to any server we operate or to any third party. There is no telemetry pipeline. There is no usage event stream.

4. Iris works in airplane mode, end to end.

Because everything runs locally, Iris is fully functional with no network connection.

5. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising.

The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash analytics tied to your identity, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracking library.

6. The website is observational-zero.

The website at irisproject.app does not use cookies, analytics, fingerprinting, advertising trackers, or third-party widgets. We do not know that you visited.
